The City walking aid is suitable for people who have a difficulty walking or have problems while standing for longer periods of time. A wheelchair is not yet necessary and a walker is not preferred. On the City, the body weight is carried by the saddle of the walking aid which relieves the hips, knees and ankles.
Walking takes much less effort allowing you to cover longer distances. In addition, the walking aid is foldable and lightweight so you can easily take it with you in the car, bus, train or even airplane. The walking aid City is very maneuverable due to its compact size and two small sturdy wheels. The Van Raam walking aid has a very low step through, it is not necessary to lift your leg very high before sitting down.
Various accessories are available, such as a basket on front for easy carrying and keeping your belongings in view. Most regular bike saddles can be mounted on the walking aid, so you can decide which saddle is most suitable for you. Van Raam has four different types of baskets. A bicycle basket provides ease in transporting your belongings.
With quick release steering, you can easily adjust the handlebar of the City walking aid to the correct height without tools.
Van Raam bicycles all have a maximum user weight. For users whose body weight exceeds this limit, a reinforced frame is available for several Van Raam bicycles.
Take a comfortable seat on the ergogel saddle for your special needs bike. The Selle Royal Drifter saddle has water resistance and is comfortable because of the gel saddle filling.
